Hello Everyone and welcome to Lightwood, Winter (or summer for some) 2025-26
Issue #24.
…My works are stations along my life’s way…
Carl Jung
“…that we are here to realize the world, to raise it, like Lazurus, from its sullen numbness into consciousness…”
William H. Gass,
Reading Rilke, Reflections on the Problems of Translation
And what do we do as writers and artists, is to awaken those around us, and ourselves, with an alternative vision through eyes that not only see but experience the world in new and different ways. We are the alarm bell, sometimes subtle, sometimes not that stirs the sleepers from their slumber and brings them to a fresh day, one with further possibilities, connections (and corrections), and hopefully offers guidance forward on a path not yet taken.
