Welcome to Lightwood’s Winter 2025 Issue #20. We have now been publishing for 5 years, with 20 issues, with all the writings and artwork remaining archived on the site. You can look up authors and artists from all the previous issues of Lightwood.
This issue features, as always, a wide array of writers and poets and we hope you’ll take time to look at all of them. Our goal remains as it has since the magazine’s inception: to bring you interesting and sometimes off-beat writing and art that you can take in, ponder and return to both on our pages and in your own thoughts.
Lightwood has always kept itself skimming under the social radar, popping up just here and there. But through our grapevine (I hesitate to say “network”.) and for those who’ve been curious about what we’re doing, we’ve had over 50,000 views from over 75 countries. Please help us to extend our artistic and cultural reach and spread the word. And please keep visiting us. And if you find merit in our magazine, you can add a small donation which helps us keep publishing hundreds of writers and artists from across the globe.
Let’s use our art to bring peace to our world. The power of art has always been stronger and more lasting than the violence and division that people and their nations have thrust upon us. Our creativity is a force for good and lives within every human; it is in our genes and walks hand in hand with compassion, justice and the deeply rooted insightful humor that make us uniquely human.
